A Supply Chain Specialist makes sure the right products are in the right store at the right time and cost. You own demand forecasting, replenishment, supplier coordination, and stock availability across the whole network, keeping shelves full while holding wastage and cost down. When stock is always there for the customer, and nothing is wasted behind the scenes, that balance is yours to own.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and run demand forecasts for each product at each store, adjusting for promo, seasonality, and shifting demand, so planning stays one step ahead instead of reacting late.
- Plan replenishment across all stores and the central warehouse by setting par levels, reorder points, and safety stock, so every location is stocked to the right depth.
- Raise and follow up on purchase orders, and coordinate inbound schedules with the merchandise team and the warehouse, so products arrive on time and in full.
- Keep stock availability high and out-of-stocks low, while controlling overstock and fresh wastage, so the network never runs dry or overloads.
- Coordinate distribution from the central warehouse and cross-dock out to all stores, keeping the flow of goods smooth and predictable.
- Track and report fill rate, availability, inventory days, wastage, and supply cost, and flag risks early before they turn into stockouts or losses.
- Improve supply chain processes and the forecasting and replenishment tools, making planning faster, simpler, and more accurate as the network grows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years in supply chain, demand planning, replenishment, or procurement.
- Hands-on experience in demand forecasting and inventory or replenishment planning.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (SQL or a planning tool is a big plus), with a data-driven way of working.
- Experience managing suppliers and handling inbound and PO processes.
- Understanding of fresh and perishable handling, including wastage, shelf life, and FEFO.
- Good coordination across Category, Operations, Finance, and suppliers.
Tools to be mastered
- Excel or Google Sheets (advanced): forecasting, par-level modeling, and replenishment trackers.
- ERP and inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo): for stock, purchasing, and PO management.
- Demand or replenishment planning tools (e.g., a planning module, or any forecasting tool): to automate forecasts and reorder points.
- SQL or data query basics: to pull and analyze sales and stock data directly (a strong plus).
